How to Disable Or Enable USB access REMOTELY?

Controlling USB access rights may act as one of vital IT Policies to reduce security risk for a stable computer network. Enabling or disabling USB access remotely is a great & smart job for IT administrator. However, disabling USB access in local computer is not a big deal. This can be done using a number of ways like disabling USB port manually, using Group Policy, or using a third party software.

But disabling USB access over network/remotely is really sophisticated. This can be done using scripting (  using registry, DOS/Batch command ) or using third party software. I hope that we will observer Power of Scripting to disable/enable USB access in near future. But for the time being we will watch an exclusive third party freeware software to parse this important task. The software name is IntelliAdmin Remote USB Disabler. No installation is required to run the software. And this is a matter of few easy steps to see the result.

Step1: Just put the ip address or host name of the remote computer in the "Computer Name" input-box.

Step2: For remote computer use authentication information like username, password, & domain name if exist. Setting computer & domain name is optional for local computer.

Step3: Select “Disable USB Drivers” and press on submit button to disable USB access in local or remote computer. For some computers the disable act may take effect after rebooting the computer. To enable USB access select "Enable USB Drivers" & click on Submit button.

IntelliAdmin Remote USB Disabler!

Oh! Something was going to be missed. Anyway, it has been tested that USB legacy support like USB - Mouse, Keyboard, or printer works perfectly after disabling the USB drivers.
